Hello, this is Captain Jason Young with your Lake Okeechobee fishing report.
Today I fished with Ted and Cynthia from North Carolina and we fished the north end of Lake Okeechobee. We started our day with a great top-water bite, using a Bass Assassin “Die Dapper.” The color we were throwing was white and the top-water action lasted about the first (1-1/2) hour and a half of the day.
After that we went and fished with live shiners and that produced a lot of fish also. Once we ran out of shiners, we went and did some flipping for the last half hour of the day.
We caught a lot of fish today, the average size was (2lb) two pounds to (2-1/2lbs) two and a half pounds but there sure were a lot of them.
Until next time, this is Captain Jason Young wishing you tight lines.
